EXPECT THE BEST

God is my companion and guide at all times and in all places.

I may have certain expectations about my finances, relationships or future goals, but I don't place limits on the good I expect. My expectations are high, and my vision is wide--wide enough to include a world of unlimited possibilities. I release any struggle and have faith in God, my constant companion and guide.
An unexpected change--or even an expected one--might seem like the last thing I would ask for; but over time, its value becomes clear. My life is unfolding in divine order. As I remain at peace with what is and listen for divine direction, I move into new experiences with grace and ease. I cooperate with my spirit and expect only the best from this divine journey.
My sheep hear my voice. I know them, and they follow me.--John 10:27

Compassion

I keep my heart open wide in loving compassion toward all.
If someone in my family is hurt or distressed, I can effect a positive change by maintaining a healthy, understanding attitude. Sincere expressions of care and concern help support those I hold in prayer. Just as food and water restore the physical body, love and compassion help restore the spirit.

For my global family I pray continually, holding thoughts of loving-kindness and envisioning right outcomes for the world's conflicts. I see every person and animal surrounded by the light and love of God. I pray that peace, love and comfort are abundant in every life. I have faith that the living spirit of God within is restoring every being to wholeness in mind, body and spirit.
For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me.--Matthew 25:35

In Depth Awareness of Your Light

We each have a physical body, like the structure of the lighthouse. Our body is the vehicle that enables the perfection that we are to express in the world as it is meant to do. We have within us a pure, perfect and brilliant light, which is our Spirit. In Unity we call this light the Christ, or the spark of divinity. The light that is our essence is unchanging and knows only and always to shine in all directions. We also have a soul, which is the sum total of our memories, beliefs, thoughts and emotions. The soul is like the glass around the light. As we go through life, we experience hurtful things that make the “glass” dingier and darker. People write messages in our glass like “Not Worthy” and as the light shines out through that belief, it projects unworthiness.

Direction and Awareness

I rest in the awareness of God, and I am guided in right ways.

If I am facing a crossroads in my life, or an important decision, or if I simply want a greater sense of divine direction, I affirm the invocation as taught by Jesus, "Your will be done."
This simple affirmation helps me turn within and reaffirm my faith in God. It allows me to release my fears and invite divine direction. My task is to get myself--including any negative thoughts, fears or concerns--out of the way and allow the presence of God to guide me. When I trust in the Presence within me and follow its lead, I am blessed in countless ways. I have confidence that the path I am following is leading me to opportunities for peace, joy and freedom. What a blessing it is to relax and trust in God.

Gentleness

With a gentle spirit, I care for myself and others.

When I hold a newborn baby, I am gentle and caring. This new life is fragile and should be lovingly cared for. The same principle applies to myself and to others.
Today I focus on being gentle and kind. I am mindful of words and behaviors that might be rude or critical. In my interactions with others, I speak lovingly and quietly. I treat others with dignity and respect.

I am gentle with myself also. I slow my pace and take time to breathe. I walk with an ease of spirit and an awareness of God. I release worry or anxiety and see myself in a positive way. As I am gentle with myself and others, I find that my thoughts are peaceful and my life flows smoothly.
To speak evil of no one … to be gentle, and to show every courtesy to everyone.--Titus 3:2

Circulate

I give and receive in absolute faith.
The divine law of giving and receiving is as natural as gravity. I don't question why my feet stay firmly planted on the ground. I simply trust in gravity, for I know it works.
The same holds true concerning giving and receiving. It is in giving that I receive. My life is open to the flow of divine blessings, and in that flow, I am able to give even more. I give unreservedly.
I recognize God as the Source of my supply. As I have freely received from the continuous flow of divine love and substance, I also freely give and keep the blessings circulating.
I am filled with a giving and grateful spirit, knowing that my positive prayers and actions will bless others as well as myself.
The measure you give will be the measure you get, and still more will be given you.--Mark 4:24

Life

I am whole. I am full of life.
At certain points in my life, I might feel overwhelmed and believe there are no answers to my problems. I may search frantically for solutions, and I may even lose hope. In those times, I bear in mind that I am one with Spirit. I am whole and have all I need, at this very moment. Through reflection upon this truth, I connect deeply with Spirit. I ask for direction and wait for guidance. I then take action and do what I am called to do.

My connection with the Divine helps me make loving and compassionate decisions. I am able to see new possibilities that honor me and others in my life. I am filled with hope. I celebrate today's blessings and look forward to the gifts of tomorrow.
Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a desire fulfilled is a tree of life.--Proverbs 13:12
